How to choose your new spa cover?
There are a few factors to consider before ordering a new spa cover.
Foam Thickness: Thicker foam offers more heat retention which reduces operation cost.
Foam Density: Denser foam offers more heat retention and less water absorption.
Trade-off: Greater thickness and density can also result in an overall heavier to manage spa cover.
For maximum resistance to heat loss (R-Value) we recommend a 5"-3" taper spa cover.
The choice of density depends on the overall size of your spa. We recommend you choose as high of density as you can afford for spa covers up to 7'. Limit density to 1.5# on 8' spas to keep the overall cover weight manageable.
The majority of our customers purchase the 5"-3" taper Standard or Deluxe spa cover.
